"Crowded"

This week's Illustration Friday vector drawing "Crowded". I spent over an hour on this one, spending way too much time playing with the word ballons. Too much fun to do those.

For illustration friday "Bloom". I did this in about a half hour in illustrator and about ten minutes of it was fussing with color choices.

I'd done another illustration before that, for the same subject, but it failed to move me at all, and I put it aside.

In other news I've got an interesting piece going on the drawing table, but I think I want to save it till it's done, hopefully to preserve the wow factor. (I will save work in progress shots, though, for those curious). It's going interesting so far, as it's on a color and type of paper I've never used before.

Not only is this following this weeks Illustration Friday subject "Fragile" but it's what I'm using for a tutorial... which will be posted soon.

My cat didn't do this, but I wouldn't put it past him, if he got the mood and we gave him the opportunity. ;)

Here's the finished piece (I think). I'll let it sit a while before I swear I'm done with it. ;) The subject was suggested by a blogger friend a while back and I've finally finished it.

Illustration Friday "Ancient"

So, first time participating in Illustration friday, and when I saw this week's topic, this is what popped into my head first. Did this this morning in 40 minutes. I'm hoping to improve my digital skills with a little practice every week.

Have I been put on hold lately? Naw....

More quick studies

The first one is from today, as is the last one. Those in between are bits through last week. These are celeb or model studies, done for a fiew friends as game characters. Recognize any? ;)

Print for Sale on eBay

I've been hoarding way too much art around here, so as a test I've put up one of my hand pulled "Autumn Gold" prints for sale. Kind of sad to see it go, but I've got to get out of being a pack rat. ;) If you're curious, head on over here.

This one's a mix of history and obviously fantasy, as the lady's shrunk down to the size of a mouse or less. I'm not sure about the colors yet, but finally getting closer to a composition I like which has been a looooong time in the works.

Still a way to go though. The colors need pepping up, and she needs a face... things like that. ;)
